Prof. Klaus Muellen at ChinaRay

        December 4, 2018 witnessed Professor Klaus Muellen from Max-Planck Institute for Polymer Research Germany @ ChinaRay.
       Prof. Muellen is an internationally renowned organic chemist and polymer chemist. At present he is the associate editor of Journal of the American Chemical Society. He was the former director of Max-Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz. His research interest are diverse, including organic electronics, spintronics, graphene, nanomaterials, energy technology, and biotechnology; He published more than 1800 peer-reviewed papers, with an H-index of 136. Prof. Muellen has won numerous prestigious prizes, such as van’t Hoff Award, Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences、Philip-Morris-Research-Prize and Franco-German Award of the Sociéte Chimique de France，Adolf-von-Baeyer-Medal, German Chemical Society . He was President of the German Association for the Advancement of Science and Medicine，Member of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences，Member of the European Academy of Sciences (EURASC)，Member of the Academia Europaea. Prof. Muellen is the editorial board member of Chemistry of Materials，Accounts of Chemical Research，Macromolecules，Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics, Journal of Materials Chemistry, Journal of Macromolecular Science-Pure and Applied Chemistry. Prof. Muellen was elected president of the German Chemical Society in 2008 and Professor Einstein of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011.       
       During his visit, Prof. Muellen gave a tutorial talk on “Synthesizing electronic properties”, and had a lively discussion with chinarayRayTeam.
